The Neighborhood Service Center's (NSC) mission is to improve the quality of life and reduce the adverse effects of social and economic conditions impacting the low income residents of Talbot County by providing a wide range of services and self-help programs which ultimately will increase economic and social stability.
As a non-profit community action agency that provides assistance to the needy, low-income and elderly Talbot County residents, NSC offers
- Monetary assistance for those faced with evictions and foreclosures
- Counsel and guidance
- Local resource information for further assistance
- Nutritious food items from our pantry
- Temporary shelter
- Rent or mortgage assistance
- After-school youth programs
- And other services that help to improve conditions for residents of Talbot County
